How to stop hiding and start exercising?

Exercising is like breathing, we where born to move. It will improve your energy, mood, sleep, health and give you confidence. Exercise can help you reduce stress and depression. But you already heard this. So if everyone knows benefits of exercise, how come only 30 percent of people are exercising regularly?

Why people start in January and stop in February?
What is keeping you from exercising? For most people is health problems , bad experience in the past. Or negative thinking: it is going to hurt, people will laugh at me, everyone else will be better than me, I don’t have time, I am too tired, I am too fat, I am too old..
I promise you can overcome this and get unstuck.
Simple steps how to break through mental barriers:
1. The best thing is to start and figure things out on the way. You don’t need to be great to start. You can start with small steps. For example 10 000 steps 3 times a week is a great start. If you don’t have time to do walking start 30 min. workout at home. If you have knee or hip injury try cycling, bike will take the pressure form your joints and make exercise fun, that is why cycling is more and more popular and that is why we are running Form couch to cycling camp.
Slow start means longer and enjoyable journey. Don’t expect to go from 0 to 100 in first week. Everything worthy takes time to achieve. So small steps and small improvements. A little exercise is better than nothing.
Positive self talk, there will be someone trying to stop you, don’t let it be you. If you decided to get better, you have already done the hardest job. Doing first exercise class is always hard, but every single one after that is easier. So don’t beat yourself up about your body, or your fitness level. Learn from experts and get exited, this is going to work!
Get excited about the future but don’t forget to plan every day ahead. You don’t gain weight overnight, you are not going to lose it overnight. But you can lose excuses overnight and start every single day from now on living like healthy person. This journey is going to be life changing if you coming to stay on it and do what you can do. Try not to be discouraged by what you can’t do, or how far you have to go before you reach your goal. Plan what you can do tomorrow, focus on consistency. After couple of days you will see empowerment in your mood, energy, everything else will come in time.
