Cycling is great for socialising, team support and also provides the possibility of psychological relaxation in the fresh air, which also helps with weight loss.

– Even with low intensity, you can strengthen and tone your leg muscles (quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and calves) and engage the other muscles of the body (core, triceps)

– It’s a very suitable option for people who have problems with their joints, specially  overweight people, because the bicycle takes the weight of the body and protects the skeleton. To start with you don’t need any special training.  Once you have learned how to ride you will never forget.

How Many Calories Are Burned By Cycling?

The amount of calories burned depends on a number of factors, Metabolic rate, weight, age, and so on. On average, you can burn 75 to 670 kcal after  30 minutes of cycling.

Some Tips:

Always start with dynamic stretching.

Stretching should be followed by gradual cycling until you reach the maximum.

For low intensity, you should still be able talk.  If you are having problems with talking while cycling, then the intensity should be reduced.

Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours before cycling, eat a healthy meal and after you finish, it is advisable to eat some protein.

Beyond the cycling, follow the rules of healthy eating.

Cycle at least 2 to 3 times a week for at least  60 minutes.
